Tara and I were discussing our "go-to" outfits. You know, sometimes you don't feel like trying to put together an outfit and you need that easy fix. Another wardrobe stylist on the hill slips on a pair of cowboy boots over her comfy skinnies, while I prefer the rocker look. Today I coasted by with a Stooges tee, Johnny Was black tuxedo shirt, a pinstriped cropped blazer with red silk lining, my favorite Streets Ahead Belt, dirty wash skinny jeans and Harley Davidson motorcycle boots. For a little edge I slipped on my spikey rings from Noir and a giant vintage angel wing ring that Mara gave me. What's your go-to look?
Where have I been? In the coming days you will see that I have been a busy little Korean girl! Just to prove it, let's start off with this collage from Lil Star's Multi-Cultural Fair. This year we decorated a presentation board focusing on current Korean music, fashion and food. While I cut and pasted photos of our favorite things, Estelle wrote an article to explain our glittery deco'd board. My fashion style was not from Korea but it was Korea-Style: I wore an F21 cardigan with that ever important shoulder detail, a Diane Medak tank with ruffle detail, Fiorucci jeans, Streets Ahead belt and a darling pair of ruffely, bowy pumps that Cherry gave me.
I started the day by organizing my letter writing cabinet, at 3:30 I had to get Lil Star ready for ballet, finish up some cleaning at the townhouse, pick up Lil Star from ballet, then go to curriculum night. So how did I make this busy day to night transition with no time in between for a wardrobe change? A long wearing red lipstick stain from NOUBA would last all day. A cute little tank from HOLLISTER, flip flops and FRANKIE B jeans for daytime and cleaning. For evening slipped on a low slung belt by STREETS AHEAD, crawled into a cozy cardigan with saggy pockets from SUCRE SOIR, slid into my coffee colored pumps from NINE WEST that Mair gave me and reapplied lipstick. Did I accomplish everything? Didn't make the curriculum night at Lil Star's school. Her ballet finished early and I had to choose, eat or disturb all the other parents with my rumbling tummy. TERIYAKI it is!!
I ran into SEAN hanging these adorable portraits at LILY'S Pampering Salon and Party Boutique, a fabulous girl haven where girly girls of any age can get mini mani/pedi's, cute cuts, vivid hair color and darling little treasures like this adorable strawberry compact with lipgloss inside and the clear floral print headband I just bought. For my little spa treat I wore my LTB skinnies, a STREETS AHEAD belt, an amazing rouge red tank with faux menswear collar from SIGAL DEKEL and just to put me in the mood, Matilde's PAYLESS SMARTFIT kid's shoes in glittery gold weave. If the little girl in you is in the mood for cupcakes and pampering, make your appointment today!

Well, I'm off to another shoot! A girl can never travel lite these days and especially if she is a stylist! In the top layer of my kit I have sterile sprays: brush cleaner and rubbing alcohol. Of course next to that is hand sanitizer in a lovely vanilla bean scent. Some gum. (When you are doing someone's makeup you should always have fresh minty breath!) 12-14 different colors of foundation, 8 colors of eyeshadows, 6 different makeup brushes, several lipsticks, stains and lipglosses, cotton swabs, concealer, makeup wipes, safety pins, mascara wands, and pencil sharpeners fill each cubby and that's just the TOP layer. What do I have in my red suitcase? Hair necessities: paddle and round hair brushes, goodie combs, a skinny barrel curling iron and a fat barrel curling iron, flat iron, hair spray, pomade, hair cream and oil, haircutting drape (to protect the wardrobe from makeup application) and scissors just in case someone needs a little trim. And what do I wear? For comfort I am wearing a JOVOVICH HAWK striped dress with a STREETS AHEAD belt over black leggings and HARLEY DAVIDSON motorcycle boots. (Brought my FOREVER21 sweater just in case it gets chilly in the studio.) Are you sure you still want to be a stylist?
Kickin back in a KITSON vintage Pink Floyd tee, HORN jeans, STREETS AHEAD belt and, oh yeah!, my killer BETSEY JOHNSON necklace with tons of everything I love: adorable pink teddy bear, ruffled dress, sweet kitty cat, hot pumps, sexy corset, frilly panties, black leather bows and chains, lots and lots of chains!!! Have a great weekend! Mah!
Today I am sporting a cashmere silk blend dolman sleeve sweater by ARDEN B, LTB skinny jeans, a STREETS AHEAD lo-slung belt, REPORT pointy-toed pumps, my mom's fabulous thrift find- knitted hat with a felt flower and an amazing TANO bag big enough for all a girl's goodies!!
Hope you had a spectacular weekend! Working from home today. I am wearing my crystal pink stud earrings, a TARINA TARANTINO lucite rose and crystal necklace in nude, matching bracelet and plastic cream headband. The cute little pale pink top is Xhileration from TARGET, LTB skinny jeans and DKNY pale pink mary jane pumps that my friend Cherry gave me!
Sadly, this is our last kitty blog for this week. Since I post my outfits every day, some of you may have been wondering, "What did she wear this week?" Take a look at this 5-day Pick Up. True to our theme, I wore something Hello Kitty every day. Monday was a SUCRE SOIR butterfly top in jade with a brown tank top underneath and a small crystal framed PINKHEAD necklace. Tuesday I had an interview and shopping for a photoshoot so I dressed a little more professional: THREE DOT super soft modal faux wrap, MAE wool city shorts, my BUFFALO EXCHANGE boots and a special PINK HEAD ponytail necklace. Wednesday was my casual day. I wore a HOLLISTER pink terry tube top and my favorite PINK HEAD rainbow necklace with chunky lucite chain. Thursday I paired my PETRO ZILLIA silk striped shirt with my LTB skinny jeans and STREETS AHEAD pink cowhide belt with crystals, on top was the famous PINK HEAD necklace worn by CAMERON DIAS. Finally, Friday was another comfy day, picking up props and playing video games with LIL STAR in an exclusive TARINA TARANTINO PINK HEAD super sheer t-shirt!!
Today I'm a little sad. We, Seattle, had a great streak of beautiful weather and today it's drizzling. So, here's my outfit: EC STAR cashmere-like cardigan with skulls on butterfly wings, a LIBERTINE t-shirt, J LINDERBERG gray skinny jeans, STREETS AHEAD belt- my fave!, DOC MARTINS I purchased on Canal Street in NYC. And in my hair, TARINA TARANTINO black flower anywhere clip, on my wrist, TARINA TARANTINO skull, cross, and heart chunky bracelet. Oh yes, beautiful OPI Russian Navy nail polish!
