Ask Adelita: Snausages by Kamie Kahlo

black n brown keilbasa

black n brown keilbasa by Adelita Style featuring a sweetheart neckline dress

Dear Adelita-

I have a color dilemma. I have a great patterned dress that has lots of fun colors in it but no black. I would prefer to wear my black tights instead of brown (my legs tend to look like ground pork stuffed in casings if I don't wear black) and brown boots. Is it okay to wear black and brown together?

Yours,
Sausage Legs

My Dear Little Keilbasa,

Yes you can wear black and brown together but if you are worried about showcasing your legs, this might not be the best bet for you. Wearing a patterned dress without black then brown then black again may cut you up into little bite-sized pieces. We may be hungry for fashion but we don't want that! Try the darkest brown legging you can find and then, yes, you can still wear your black boots. Just don't try brown shoes with black pants! Ewww.

Here's a little Polyvore to get you in the right direction. If it's good enough for Chanel, Burbery, Vuitton and little leopards running around Africa, it's good enough for us!

Love,

Animal Attraction by Kamie Kahlo

Marc Jacobs' fabulous silk bunny ears, Erin Fetherston's magical, Peau d’âne inspired glitter masks, Maison Michel's sexy, lacey critters and Moschino's hot pink beany with Minny sprouts have all inspired me to show my animal attraction. Halloween night handing out candy at E's house and hitting Sean's studio party was a great debut for my mouse ears. I think they are too silly for everyday wear. I will switch to the bear ears for my next night out on the town!

The Ultimate Me by Kamie Kahlo

So for today anyway, this is the ultimate me. Some think of themselves as their most sexy in the nude, I picture myself fully clothed head to toe; wrap me up in CHANEL, MIU MIU or as in this sketch LOUIS VUITTON!! I am definitely NOT one of "The Girls Next Door" type of bunnies; I am the mad fashion hare. Here I am walking down the Paris runway wearing an amazing MARC JACOBS' Fall09 LOUIS VUITTON creation. I'm dying to squeal, holding back my smile. You can barely make out the shoe of a celebrity on the left. Perhaps it's VICTORIA BECKHAM! Can't you just see RACHEL ZOE going "bananas" front row center? I can. And isn't the vision all the more clear picturing yummy Marc primping me behind the curtain? My stomach in butterflies from his touch, who cares if he's gay, what a MAN! Sigh, I can just imagine the ultimate me.

(S)Miley or K(l)amie? by Kamie Kahlo

So, I decided to take the lastest issue of Glamour and recreate one of the amazing photos of my latest obsession, Miley Cyrus. This billion-dollar babe posed with her sweet Sophie wearing a blazer and skirt by LOUIS VUITTON, her booties are CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN. For my version, I borrowed Mara's super cool fringed jacket from KATE MOSS TOPSHOP and tied it around my waist and a SHARON SEGAL keyhole dress with my new pointy toed, peep show shoes from SHOEDAZZLE! Miley is definitely WAY more adorable and well lit than me but, I have to say my little Maltese wins by a nose over Miley's Malti-poo. Cuz my Snoopy is CA-YOOT!!
