- The term "adelita" was a name reserved for special heroic women who were first to initiate battles in the Mexican Revolution. A woman named Adelita was allegedly a girlfriend of one of the leaders of the Revolution and was given the rank of colonel for her heroics on the battle field. These feats by Adelita were an inspiration to all Mexican women. So, dressed in skirts, in their best jewelry, with their children in tow and the families provincial weapons, they went to battle. We honor all strong women with our unique approach, high style and excellent experience. Adelita Style believes that special collections and fashion translate to a more unique individual.
